1.) What is a Lab Test?
A medical procedure that involves the analyses of testing a sample of blood, urine, hair or other substance from the body in a laboratory setting.
2.) How does the Lab Testing Process work?
A trained medical professional from our staff will collect the amount of blood or other specimen required and carefully label then package the specimen for transport. Analysis will then begin in our certified laboratory. In most cases, you will receive the results the very next day.
3.) Why should I be tested?
Many serious illnesses and diseases can be prevented by managing your healthcare. Some medical conditions exist without noticeable symptoms which can be detected through the simple lab tests that we provide! Knowing the results of your tests can help you make necessary decisions that can save, prolong and improve the quality of your life. We help make the responsibilities of health care simple and easy for you.
4.) Is it possible to be tested anonymously?
Yes. You have the option of taking a test anonymously and choosing which method to receive your lab test results (U.S. Mail, Fax, Pick Up).You are the only one who receives the test results unless you tell us otherwise with written consent.
5.) Is my privacy protected? How?
Yes. Your privacy is our highest priority. If you do choose to test anonymously, you may be required to give a birth date or show a sales receipt for verification. Due to teh fact that we do not utilize insurance as the only method of getting you tested, your results are not given to your physician and not included on your medical record. However, customers may provide the results to their physician if desired with written consent.
6.) How will I receive my test results?
You can have your results sent to you via fax, Certified mail, or pickup. Confidentiality & discretion are extremely important to us.
7.) When will I receive my test results?
Most test results are ready within 24 to 48 hours. Results may vary based on different factors and certain complexities which could cause results to take longer.
8.) I have Health insurance. Can I still get tested?
Yes, but you will have to pay us directly for your lab test with cash, check or credit/debit card. If you want to use your insurance, You will have to check with them first to determine whether there will be any reimbursement to you for our lab testing services. We have many customers who are insured, but still choose to use us for lab testing so they can avoid the high costs of deductibles, co-insurance, co-pays, and long waiting periods.
9.) Do I need an appointment?
No appointment is necessary. We accept Walk-Ins! Simply visit our center during our regular hours of operation and you will be assisted immediately.
10.) Do I have to show an ID to get tested?
No. Our lab testing is completely anonymously, but in cases where you are having a test to be used in a court case as evidence, or the test is sponsored by an employer, a valid ID is be required.
11.) If there is an abnormality with my results, What should I do?
It is imperative and higly recommended in this situation that you discuss the abnormalities with your doctor or other healthcare provider immediately for medical diagnosis and possible further testing. We do not provide any medical advice or interpretation of your test results.
12.) Will you keep mt test results on record?
Yes. We are required by federal law to keep any and all records on file for 7 years.
13.) Can a Minor be tested?
Yes. Minors choosing to be tested at our laboratory must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. If a minor is present without a parent or legal guardian, a notarized statement signed by the parent or legal guardian is necessary to authorize testing.
